I have a 79 1100 standard. I was here about 3 years ago with carb problems. I finally gave up on the carbs and found a set that were off of a running bike. Mine were a mix of parts from several years. Well, its been 3 years since it started and after little problems like which ports are the gas and vent and getting a good battery, she started right up like I shut it off yesterday. I have to wait for a throttle cable to replace the one that finally gave up 3 years ago. But it was a good feeling to hear it run and not leak gas out of the carbs. Thanks again for the info on here that helps us newbees even if we are just lurkers. SMWBO can't wait to ride again.
