My xs is finaly coming back together as a bike and I oly have one more problem. What conects to the front of the octopus. In the drawing it says that it is a vac line. the only vac line I can find is the one going in to the #2 intake boot. WHAT AM I MISSING?

The vac pipe on the #2 carb body is for vacuum advance.

If your octopus was out of service, the vac pipe on the rubber manifold would have been capped (like the other three). One of those (take your pick) can 'power' your octopus.

Thanks. I think I've got it but if any one has pics that would help.

It's the hose that connects to the head side of the manifold in the middle of the picture.

If you need a better pic then let us know and I will pop up the tank and take another one.

            Looks like 3/16" to me.
