  • EMGO Air Filter

I have an EMGO air filter 12-95840 which is listed as for all XS1100's including Specials. Bikebandit customer service says that is the correct filter even for a Special. Even, Goergefix sells as such on ebay. However, it seems to be too thick by 1/4 inch to fit the stock air box.

    - Did anybody have the same problem?
    - What brand replacement filters do you use?

I would like to keep the air box stock. If a mismatch of an EMGO filter forces the conversion to corn filters, it is too lame a reason...

Some of those cheaper filters are too tall, but they can be crushed down, or maybe some of the gasket can be removed to make it fit. So I've heard.

I thought my Uni was to big also. It just took a little more persuasion than the stock one did.

Right now I have a K&N filter in the stock air box. Will be going to pods. The K&N had no fitment issues
