    What's up guys,

Question for you all (moderator, if this belongs in a different forum, please move).

I wanted to ask you guys what insurance company you're using for your motorcycle insurance, what your coverages are, and what you're paying for it (if you don't mind stating). I'm looking into Progressive right now with 15,000/30,000/10,000 (person, accident, property respectively) and 15,000/30,000 uninsured and a $250 deductible for $245 per year.

Is that a pretty good price?

Well, I'm not sure of my coverage off the top of my head, but I have progressive. I got it in part because they would give full coverage at a reasonable price on these bikes and such. I kicked my coverage up pretty high so that I hit the minimum for them to do auto pay, which means I don't even have to think about it, so I have pretty high coverage levels including un and under insured coverage, medical and roadside assistance.

Up here in Ontario with a perfect driving record (no accidents or tickets) the best I was able to find was $702.00 a year. They will only cover me for personal and property damage no collision because of the age of the XS1100.

I use geico powersports, for both my bikes , its just easy , for 2 bikesits like 400 a year, but i dont carry comprehensive because my regular health insurance is great, 95 bucks a month for me +3 and if I did crash they would most likely total the old beast any way

I just switched from the gekko to progressive. Went from 440 to 250/yr.
I got much more coverage, including roadside assistance, for quite a bit less. Gekko would not offer comprehensive, because of the age of the bike, and I couldn't get roadside without it.

Like tinman said, up here in Ontario we get reemed. Asked for three quotes and they all came back at 628 (bare bones with perfect record). Apparently there is really only one company that will underwrite our bikes up here and that's Jevco.

If you have access to the military only company USAA, their price is so much lower, it's unbelievable. The only part they lack for bikes is Road-side.

Right now I'm still with progressive, been with them for 20+ yrs. In the Poconos, full without collision is $75/yr.

When I transfer the reggie to NY state this year the cost is going to quadruple

Nothing they can do they said, have to write a brand new policy and my history with them don't matter

I get roadside from my AMA membership.

I've got Progressive too. I keep full coverage on everything I drive, and the Roadside Assistance with an old bike just makes me feel better. $309/year, makes it a $26.75/month payment. I do have one ticket on my record though, so that makes it go up a little.

When I last did insurance on my bike, they just kicked me over to Progressive. We have our car with them, and I'd love it if they would do my bike too. How did you get them to do it?

                          Collision:
                          $100 deductible (Agreed Value)

                          Uninsured Motorist Collision Deductible Waiver:

Geez Tinman you should move out to Alberta. I have million bucks liability plus the accident benefits, Fire/theft, but no collision. That costs me $135 a year. I imagine Fredintoon gets his even cheaper being government insurance in his province.
