I'm loosing track of every one that wants to be in on the second order. So PM me again or eMail me at technojock@yahoo.com and I'll put you on the spread sheet for the next order. Then when the numbers add up to a minimum order, I'll contact everyone for payment.

    The things to remember are:

The price is $16.50 per valve (I lost money on the first order so I'm tacking a buck onto each valve) plus shipping.

If you're replacing intakes, it's best to replace them all since these valves will flow better than stock.

The lag time on an order is 4 to 6 weeks...

BTW- Great job! I want a set of those valves next time around. Hopefully I will be gainfully employed by then.
Would you be upset if I appointed you as a contact person for this company? Since you know someone there, it would be a good start.

The valve springs aren't unobtainium like the valves were so I don't think it's as pressing anyway.

        Geezer's valves good!

Thanks, Geezer. I couldn't have done it without you. Finally got Kong back together, insured and legal again. Little did I know what a difference a set of nice shinny polished stainless valves would make. In 5 years my bike has never had throttle response like this. Low end power is awesome. I no longer wonder "what's the deal about XS11 power?" Now this one has it.
Geezer's prices can't be beat. If you're doing head work, these are worth the money for sure.

I got my XJ1100 engine together, back in the frame, and fired her up with the new valves. This is the first time she's been heard in 20+ years and sounds great.

Still have a lot of work to do before she can be ridden, but can't thank you enough for the work to get the new valves!

Now I'm thinking I should put a set in my engine even though it has good valves...

Anyway I have 2 early intakes left and we can do another group buy when ever we can get a minimum order together.

              Sorry Tony,

This thread dropped off the page before I saw this.

Would you be upset if I appointed you as a contact person for this company? Since you know someone there, it would be a good start.
I'll see what I can do. Kinda got a full plate though. Working on getting a good price for SS brake pistons, after market parts for MC, and molding badges on top of trying to find future employment doesn't leave me much time.

Not to Hijack the thread, or step on Geezer's toes....

I do have a full set of valves for an 81 (should fit 80 heads also) engine. If this helps anyone out, PM me.

HVC Cycle has stainless brake pistons for a good price. I bought a couple to have them on hand and they're very nice. Not as polished as OEM but I don't see that it's going to be a problem...

My supplier couldn't match up the springs so anything you could do would be great...

You're not stepping on my toes. I sell these in the group buy for $1.50 over my cost just to break even on shipping and packaging.

I'd like to order a couple sets too but I have to sell my Virago first...

                      Springs into Action??

                      Tony,

I'd be down wit' getting a full set of standard duty springs (early years...) if you end up finding a decent source. I sorta like putting in "new with new" if I'm all tooled up and and the head is right there in front of my face.

Plus, the valves are all purty:

                      ....................

                      ....................

                      ....................

                      ....................

I can't have my old dingy springs ruining what would otherwise be a picture perfect install.

(Almost makes me wish that my CCT would suffer catastrophic failure...)

New springs aren't hard to come by. I don't remember where I saw them but I know for sure that I've seen them listed for sale in at a couple of places...

Web Cam sells springs, more heavy duty than stock, but they give you several hundred more RPM at the top end before valve float occurs..(at the expense of perhaps a bit shorter intervals between shim adjustments).

Good to know that valve springs aren't yet on that growing "discontinued" or "NLA" list. Thanks!

I'm willing to bet there are other Yamahas that use the same valve springs...
