In final form I'm hoping to get a minimalist looking front end. I'm moving the big gob of wires up under the tank, doing the control wires inside the bars, ditching the stock gauges and going with an aftermarket all in one gauge, removing the front turn signals and integrating them into either the end of the bars or the back of the mirrors etc. So the reason for the single line is that it helps remove some extra "stuff" from the forks.
I'm not worried about the extra ounces of unsprung weight, if I was concerned that much with handling I wouldn't be riding a 30 year old bike to begin with.
I'm also convinced that the unequal line length isn't a problem.
Ok so do you know of any multi-piston calipers that are an easy swap to a Special? As far as I know there aren't any calipers that will swap onto a special because of the funky mounting arrangement. Plus I like the balanced look of dual disks.
