  • E-Bay: XS11 automotive paint?

What do you guys think of this stuff for under $45 / gallon?

    Here are the other colors.

I'm still toying with the idea of something other than gloss black.

Well, the rasberry metalic for $45 a gallon says it has not been opened..............................but he shows you the inside of the can,

I like the color, so if he has another gallon, go for it.

Of course. You have to open the can to take a picture of the paint, though he doesn't sell you that one.

The other link lists probably 200 other paint items. Looks like he has good feedback.

I was just curious what everyone thought of the colors. The raspberry color reminds me of Macho Maroon oem xs11 paint. I think the metallic blue would look pretty nice too, or even the metallic silver. Silver and black would look pretty nice on the tank I think.

The silver made me want to cry. They show a 240Z painted to perfection and my 240Z looks like crap (the factory silver is flaking off.)

It's too bad I never added painting to my skill set.

That's what's cool though is that the seller is posting pics of what people have done with the paint.

That 240 looks great. I wonder if they are "paint pros". I don't think I could do a job that smooth without runs or spots.

I talked to a friend of mine that is a car painter. He said that there are alsorts of cheap paints available and you get what you pay for.

            YMMV.
