Whats the difference between the black and the green Mikes xs coils ,and does anybody have the part numbers?

Green higher voltage output and more money ,almost double but well worth it if you are changing coils. The part number can be found if you go on mikesxs.com. Just have a look in the electrical parts.BDF Special

Green Coils: Dual Tower XS Performance High Output Ignition Coil 3.3 OHM
Primary Resistance. 15K OHM Secondary Resistance. Capable of
sustained 45KV output with 12.5v DC input. Capable of sustained
75KV output with 14v DC input. Replaces stock factory Tci
ignition coils on All 1980 & up models and works with Pamco
ignitions (Non rephased engine types). Requires 7mm Dia. High
tension spark plug wires (order separate) and 5K OHM spark
plug caps.

boediddly - I've had them both. The black ones lasted me 7k miles and crapped out. The green ones are hotter, and they seem to be of a more robust design. Additionally, the green ones will be easier to install new wires in when the time comes as you don't have to remove the coils to change wires. On the black coils you have to remove the coils to rewire. The black ones also require you to disable your old coils by clipping the primary leads off for use on the mikes coils. The green ones come with their own leads, so you don't have to cut wires off the old coils. You could also make your own leads, which I would strongly recommend if you go the black route. Then graft new high tension wires into your old coils and you'll have a spare set, which could come in real handy if you have the same experience with the black ones that I did.
On a different note, I see you're up in Columbus. You might stop by the SWOXS social group page and make your presence known.I think I have a loose screw behind the handlebars.

Yes the Dyna Coils are cheaper than the ones from Mikes XS. If you use the 3ohm coils make sure you remove the ballast resistor located on the left side under your tank.Four wheels move your body, two wheels move your soul.
