  • Super Nice 78 1100 price ?

    I found a show room condition 1978 xs1100 . Bike absolutely looks brand new been around bikes all my life and this bike is clean . What is a good price for this bike it runs but will need the carbs gone through . It has 6500 original miles paint and chrome are perfect . bike is for sale from original owner he wants me to make an offer .

    Offer $1.00 per cc to get things started. If he does not already know what he wants for it, then he likely has little idea what it might be worth. Offer before he does his research and gets some funky ideas.

      Keep in mind, that no matter what it looks like, unless it has been being riden, you will have to put some bucks in it for the carbs, brakes, tires, and other things that need to be checked and replaced to make it a safe rider. I would think you will have to invest maybe $400.00 - $500.00 and labor to get it funtional. Maybe not. It might just be carbs, tires, and grease.

        Well i think he has an idea what its worth he also has a cream puff xs850 that was his daily rider . I'd bet the pilot jets are clogged just by the way its running it has new tires put on within a year .

          So.. like they say.. Low ball him and if he laughs.. have him tell you what he wants instead of you trying to GUESS what he wants. Like you say, he knows what he needs for it.. he's just hoping you pop off a number higher than that amount.
