Hey all, I am in need of a speedo for my 1980 XS 1100 Special. Preferrably with about 39,000kms reading on it

Matching km will be a trick. Any XS Special speedometer will swap and function perfectly. XS650S, XS750S, XS850S, and XS1100S are all the same. Good luck! I suggest eBay Canada if somebody here doesn't pipe up.

Hi Jamie,
MPH speedos off any US model XS series bikes work too.
Just gotta remember how to multiply the kph numbers on traffic signs by 0.6 in your head just like all of us with MPH speedos had to after Trudeau's D-day.

The 78/79 speedos read higher though, I suggest you get one of those if you can.

750/850s read to 140mph and 1100s read to 160.
