  • Cam Chain Adjuster v4 Venture

    Hi,

Ive been told that the v4 venture cca unit is a bolt on and can be used on the eleven. If this is so, it sure seems strange that you guys havnt mentioned it and it sounds like a great fix for people that have stripped cam chain adjusters. After looking at one, it surely wont have stripped threads since there is a rather large bore bolt and it would take a huge effort to strip it even in alu base metal. Are there any problems with this scenario or is this thing the magic fix that it appears. Ive never had my cca off at all, so dont know about the mounting dimensions or internal dimensions. I trust that there are no clearance or mounting problems. What say you all.

Yeah, the jerk that came up with that idea pissed all kinds of people. Jacked up the price of those tensioners on eBay, and Pinwall thinks they're made of gold now. Well,ok, Pinwall thinks all their stuff is made of gold. Then the Brits said it would never work because a yank thought of it, and Nasa delayed the spaceshuttle launch just to make sure he didn't work on the shuttle at some point. The democrats didn't like it since it adjusts itself and the republicans scorned it since it came from some one else's bike and XS11 should be self sufficient.

Next thing you know, he will be collecting imperical data from different types of exhausts and comparing things like backpressure, flow, volume and baffle shape to come up with another hairbrained idea like designing an exhaust that could mimic the factory exhaust in performance along with a bit of tunability to adjust the powerband a bit as the user wants.

What a jackass. You guys should have never let him on the site.

And everything Yamaha made came from an XS1100. "That is what the title said, even though it is the front blade for a ski-doo."

thanks guys for all the good input

            Hi,

Thanks Ivan for the joke and the other info too, I looked at both of the other threads involved, and if I got stuck, I guess I would make up a carriage bolt adjuster since he has had it on the bike for six yrs without incident.

Thanks to all on Channel 11, Tom
