i have done some internet searches for seats and have come up confused. does anyone have some suggestions as to a solo seat that will fit my bike? i want to do away with the 2 rider set up, and put a solo seat on the frame, and then just add a pad to the back fender for when my wife (probably never) decides to go for a ride. i need a little back on it to hide the inginition box, but that is mostly because i can't figure out where else it would go. apparenlty aftermarket seats are hard to make fit. am i going to have to make a seat? a lot of questions, and i know i am asking silly basic questions, but this is my first bike and i really don't have a lot of experience. i am going to tackle the carbs on the other section (with considerable help from all of you, i am hoping) and i am going to probably pull my hair out, so i hope you all have a solution to that as well....anyway, thank you in advance. and sorry.

    CDI relocate

I put my CDI box under the side cover by my right knee. I have yet to finalize mounting, but it got it out of the way and let me think about fender and seat mods also. I have a seat from a Hayabusa and an R1 that I am going to modify, but haven't started to hack yet. The hayabusa seat is comfy for my comuting, I just have net finished the mod yet to make it a permanent thing.

1st, not sure what your doing for a rear fender, but alot of olks simply rotate the TCI around the inner fender closer to the battery area. All the wires come from that direction anyway so no splicing required.

As to a seat, I have no expereience at that at all.

        A suggestion...

Wildkat has a unique setup on her bike that I thought was pretty cool...
an adjustable rack & backrest setup that comes forward for just her!
        Looks good, too!
It just comes forward over the stock seat.
You might get w/ her & see if she's got some pics you could check out.
