Welcome to XS11 evelrider,
It is helpful if you add you're model and year as well as any modifications in you're signature. Then people know what you have an can better assist in recommendations.
As far as the tire goes, what kind of tire did you buy and what size?
You may have gotten a tire that has a manufacturing defect, the tire may
not be balanced, or it may not be rated for the weight you are putting on it.
Also have you spun that tire while the bike is on the center stand?Does it run straight and true?
Rick
Thanks for your reply It is a 1981xs 1100 engen no. 3x100. The only modifications is my self made fairing but it was fine before the new tyre. Yes I had it on the center stand and it runs fine. Had it in top gear and opened it up to about 6000rpm on the center stand and it was runing true. The tyre is a KING TYRE 130/90/17
I had it by a bike shop this morning and they say its because it is a steelbelt tyre on the back and a normal tyre on the front I will replace the front tyre and see what happens. The only problem is when I have to test it , I have to put myself in that situation again where the bike is out of controll. But any how I have to sort it out as I travel long distances with her and the roads here in SA is very bad so cant take chances.
