  • Triple tree top bolt torque spec on XJ?

Went to park my XJ tonight, and happened to notice that the large bolt that goes down through the top of the triple tree, (where handlebars bolt to the shaft) was about to fall out! It had backed itself out about 10 threads or so...

Does anyone know what the proper amount of torque is supposed to be on this bolt?

    Thanks in advance!

    I think it's "Good-n-tight"!!
The book said 61.5 pound feet, so I guess I'm close to correct!

      Thanks a lot, Ray.

That's sure a far cry from where I found it tonight! Scary! I had just rode home 85 miles... in the dark!

      Appreciate the info.
