  • Inagural Start and Ride

Well I bought the bike in June09 and have tinkered cleaned and sworn at the bike, but yesterday afternoon I hit the starter and the bike started and would not run with out the choke on, then I notice the low fuel light, as I'd only put 3 litres of fuel on her, switched the taps to reserve and the bike did run without choke, wasn't sure what would happen with the gears, but it slipped into first no worries, as I left my driveway I had my wife and daughter cheering me on, as i got out of the driveway the bike started to splutter, then came clean on acceleration and clicked into second gear, then 3rd and 4th, you beauty, as the bike was warming, it started feeling better, and I was amased at how smooth she was. The bike has no registration so I only rode her 3Kms. I'm getting the tank and side covers poished up on Thursday by a profession smash repairer and then I will post some pictures of her.

I also wanted to THANK the many people that have answered my questions on my journey to get her to this stage, you've all been a great help with so much knowledge.

It's great when you ride it for the first time! We are all happy to help, and like it once you DO get to ride! Add some more fuel, make sure the carbs are in sync, and it will probably pull your arms out of the sockets!
