I'd ask to see the law specs in writing!!! I would think that you would be able to appeal that decision, providing the information stats from a Yamaha Tech Manual!?!?! Sorry to hear that, good luck!!

Talked to EBC sales

So it seems my adventures into buying brake discs are coming to an end. Talked to a EBC guy and he said the disc is supposed to be 5.8mm thick. So before buying these check if your country allows discs thinner than stated in the manual, or check if anybody is ever likely to check your bike ;-)

Just curious...does EBC send the thickness and runout spec with replacement rotors, or publish the information on their web page? Actual number really isn't important, as long as you can point to a specification to show inspectors that your rotors are not worn out.

I looked through their cataloque, but I didn't see it anywhere.
Thats also what makes me mad, because then I could have checked if it was a problem with the authorities before I bought them
