swapping just rear wheels between xs750/1100

I am wanting to put the 16inch xs1100 wheel onto my xs750. I dont care about the final drive ratios between the two. That being said, will the xs1100 wheel bolt onto my xs750? if not what mods are required? I am wanting a 16/19 combo for a custom build im doing.

Isnt a wheel from XS1100 Special 16 inch, also?

The one thing I think might be different is the rotor diameter.You may need to adapt the 750 brakes to it.
Or, I wonder if the bolt pattern is the same and you could just swap rotors?

I have an XS750 and a couple Xs850's as well as my XS11, so I can take a closer look a little later.

I know that the front brakes are the same as the 11 standard, but I'm not sure about the back.

Hi, check the thread on this, I have a xs750 rim on a xs1100, 1980, with no modifications needed. So the reverse should also be ok. I started the thread a year or so ago, the disadvantage is the xs1100 rim will turn a lot faster for the same speed. Good luck, Mike in Sun Diego
