Seems as though you are though.

No one is trying to tell you what to do.

Fred is nearly twice your age and has probably been riding all of YOUR life.

He might have some VALID ADVICE!!!!!

And just for the record I don't care what you ride or how you ride it!

But if you don't want to hear the advice the experienced people hear have to say I would suggest you go somewhere were they'll tell you what you want to hear.

    Have a nice day
I love advice. Like when Jamminjerpa tells me to save money and just bend over and let some sadistic @sshole pound me on the butt with a three pound hammer.

    That's valid advise!!

But when someone tells me or anyone else how stupid they are for doing something a little different. That bothers me.

    I don't like trikes.
But if a friend of mine comes to me and says " how do I build a trike?"
I'm either gonna help him out or not.
I'm not gonna say "Your a fool, because I think trikes are stupid!"

Who am I to tell some one that They're stupid for using their bike and resources to build something that they like?
    Joe

Well ya see there. I saw Fred doing something really hazardous and I felt I should advise him not to.

            That's how it works right?

                    phew!

When I saw Fred making positive remarks about hardtails, I thought he might be slipping! But it is good to see that he is healthy and doing well! This site just wouldn't be the same without the immediate hardtail disapproval, and the novice user who walks into the "I can customize my bike all I want" trap Did that myself if I remember right!

I love this site! It feels like home

Just everybody remember to keep it civil. It is not personal!
Healthy is merely the slowest rate at which you can die

Some people will tell you that slow is good - and it may be, on some days - but I am here to tell you that fast is better. I’ve always believed this, in spite of the trouble it’s caused me. Being shot out of a cannon will always be better than being squeezed out of a tube. That is why God made fast motorcycles, Bubba….Hunter S. Thompson

Hi Steve, who you calling a closet socialist? I am an In Your Face socialist, so there! What with my heart attack, balloon angioplasty and carotid arterioectomy, I really do love Canadian health care, warts and all. God knows, it ain't perfect. And it ain't free neither, it's pre-paid from my income tax.

                        Hi Joe,
now we do have something in common, I don't think much of trikes either. Trikes have three tracks. A bike can swerve round things and a rig can go astride them but a trike is most likely gonna hit them with one wheel or another. Plus a good trike is really hard to build. Even a foretrike where all you need is the back end off a bike, the front end off a Hillman Imp and a few lengths of steel tube is difficult to make work nicely. Or why would a Can-Am Spyder cost more than a car?
But any damn fool can hang a sidecar on a bike and have it work really well. I know because I've done it.

BTW, I never said a person should not be allowed to hardtail his own bike. It's just that IMHO it's a step in the wrong direction.
Understood, Fred, I have many friends who share your opinion. Thats what makes the world go round though, differences.

                                Hi Lunatic,
not 90 although I hope to be still around when I am.
Gotta tell you though, being old ain't for sissies.
Age 72, been riding since 1955.
                                The smugmug pics show OK.
The network 54 link only shows a blank screen.
I love your flying breadpan rig, that is so neat.
Is that a Comstar wheel on the hack? The photo don't show dual shocks on the hack unless they are both mounted inboard?
