  • Synchronizer tool question

    http://www.xs11.com/xs11-info/tech-t...chronizer.html

In the description Bill Murrin does not give the diameter of the plenum.

I would like to know what is the diameter (since he said he would make it larger), and how it dampened the fluctuations?

I tried to find Bill in the member list but could not.
I like the design and would like to make one.
If anyone knows the answers or how to contact bill it would be greatly appreciated

How large a diameter depends on the size of your......gage. He was referring to a large pipe diameter to fit his one gage and the fish tank valve and such inside it.

This rig dampens the fluctuations by the large volume of air in that plenum. The small volume of air that is displaced by the changes in vacuum do not have a strong effect on the gage. I use this rig for my synching as well, but I have never found a four valve setup that worked for sh!t, so I just move the tube from cylinder to cylinder.

For a gage I use my Mity-Vac. It is quite useful device!!

For the pipe I think I used 3" PVC, maybe 2-1/2" its out in the garage but it is to dang cold for me to go out and measure at the moment.

          That's close enough.

My 4 guage/valve sync tool works just fine. Takes a lot less time too!

I was referring to the four valve for one gage setup in the tech tip. Bought several from fish tank suppliers and none have been functional for even one synch.

I did buy a box of new vac gages (15) but haven't built a purty one yet. Anyone wants some I will let up to 10 go for $10 each shipped (min 2 for ship). They are high $ backlit gages. Interested/PM for pics.
