Good investment
I'm working from memory now Tinman, but I do believe the hotrod picked up about 5% in the numbers. I installed mine after the porting,big bore and cam install. The kit was necessary to get my curves straightened out. I would imagine that the gains would be influenced by the mods already completed.
I have read from other members that they had good results from basically stock engines. For the money I would say it provides good bang for the buck on any engine. I would also seriously consider a new set of diaphram springs as that seems to be an issue when trying to tune the kit and it certainly couldn't hurt.
