  • New guy alert!

Hi all, just a quick shout out and thanks to you guys for all of the info that has been compiled on this site. I recently picked up a 1980 SG just like the one I had as a 16yr old 20 years ago. Actually, I think this one is in better shape than that one was!

Anyhow, thanks to this site I've got it cleaned, synced and running pretty decent.

Dammit man! Now I gotta go polish on mine some more!

Looks good man. That exhaust doesn't look "stock" though.

The supermoto isn't getting much love lately. I did ride it on Thursday for the first time since getting the XS (about 2-1/2 weeks ago) and it was a totally different ride. It's a fun bike for tear-assing around town but not too comfy on rides longer than about 45min. Plus, now it suddenly feels slow...

                  Gator Free Parking.

                  Welcome!

Nice polished ride you have there.

Whatever exhaust it is, it seems to be enough to run all the gators back into the water behind the bike.

(They'll stay there if they know what's good for 'em: that bike is meaner and faster than they are!!)

                    Nice ride there Mr. Smith,

Congrats on finding it and being able to get it into shape!

Those pipes look like the Jardine spaghetti style if # 1 pipe is crossing over and joining with #4 pipe, and #2 and 3 are going to the other side, then it's very probable to be Jardine. They are no longer in production, so take good care of them. They are single walled and are prone to discoloration like you see on them already.
