  • XJ is gone

I sold my 82 XJ1100 this week. I've had it for 11 years. This fella called one afternoon ( I had it listed in the local paper) came by that evening and took it home with him . I miss it! Sellers remorse is setting in. I cleaned the carbs this spring, it was running better this year than it has in the past five years.

The guy that bought it rides with one hand. His right hand is gone. He said he will put the throttle on the left grip and control the bike with the left hand. I give him a lot of credit for not giving up riding. I also told him about the forum. Maybe he will join us? He liked the bike because of the dual braking of the foot brake. Besides it is a beutifull machine. I kept it clean and well tuned.

    I really miss it!!

I felt like I gave away my own kid when I sold my first street bike - the good ol' Yamaha XS650. I went in the house and let my Dad finalize it and I never watched them drive away.
