so i wana adjust the handlebars, but i cant seem to lift them off the top crown of the fork. I unbolted the ignition switch plate, loosened the pinch bolts., and i have a bunch of play in the bar, but cant lift them off the splines. ANY thoughts?

What you need to do is be thankful for the life you got. Stop looking at what you dont have and start being thankful for what you do have.

I believe that the pinch bolt has to come out, looking at the picture it looks like it interferes just like the pinch bolt on the shifter arm or on the rear brake lever, both of which have to be fully removed to remove the part.
