Hi motorhead,
Greg's "humped up" may be my " just about right" because his Standard bars look exactly like the mystery bars that came with my Special and those were OK for me solo.
I only switched to the CB750 bars because I needed a tad more bar height to steer my sidecar rig more easily.
FWIW, I used to be 5'-9" before age collapsed my spinal column down to 5'-7". My arms & legs are still normally proportioned for my original height.

I'm 6' and I like sitting as strait up as possible.

Maybe when I start to shrink a bit I'll change back.

What did the middle bars come off of.Something along that line is what I had in mind .But maybe a little more pullback.Do you know the length rise and pullback of the middle bar by any small chance.You say it is comfortable .Can I ask how tall you are .Maybe sleeve length.None of my business by I had to ask. thanks

P.O purchased the middle bars from Road Rider I believe. I don't know what the rise/run is off the tip of my head. Very comfortable at 5'7. Yea, yea, you didn't know they stacked sh*t that high If I decided to move away from the Café style, I'd definatly use the middle bars again. I'll try and remember to take some measurements when I get home.

I wasn't going to say it but I guess you wanted to let everyone know....
Mine came with the Standard bars already so I don't know what the buckhorns would feel like but it just seems like an awkward position to me.

MY project bike came with a set of the stock buckhorns that had been through a war or two. They were crushed in near the trees and bent to boot.

So I decided it was high time to replace the oens on Thunderstruck which were 100% good stock buckhorns/rototillers. I tried the swapmeet stuff, even found a guy on craigslist that was selling "discounted mfg bars". Went to his barn (yeah LOOONNGG story), and basically wasted half a night. So, I eventually was at my local yamaha dealers and looked at their stuff.

Surprisingly they had a set of LTD bars that match the dimensions MIKESXS list for his "CB750" bars for something like $27. I know I loved the bars on my old CB750Cs so I picked them up. Well, they were very short for me, I felt humped over the tank and all that crap. So, I took them back and they were nice enough to exchange them for me. They had another set that VERY closely match the Goldwing dimensions which cost me an addition $2.50, so I put those on and so far I like them. So my original bars are now on the project bike. If I do find I liked the originals better, I can alsways switch back before I sell it.

perhaps you were in a terrible accident and they re-set your arm bones so your wrists are at 90º to where they used to be?
If so, the buckhorns may be right for you but I don't see it otherwise.
I used to think that buckhorns were neither use nor ornament but discussion on another list says they make a dandy bass note on an outdoor windchime.

perhaps you were in a terrible accident and they re-set your arm bones so your wrists are at 90º to where they used to be?

90 degrees (where is that degree key?) to what?

With that triple minigun setup I have on the handlebars() it's quite comfortable thank you.

I ended up having to ride beside a guy on a charity ride that had apehangers about like that.Scared me being beside him .Hands were higher than his head.There is no way he could have had proper control of his scoot.
