  • Xs1200 ?????

Expecting the worst for Bones. Phoned a guy i know, and he told me he has a XS1200 motor that he took out of a XS that was rear smashed. Everything is still good apart from a few scraes on the side. Apparently just a bolt-in with my old shaft.

Can anyone give me any idea of what a XS1200 is. I tried the internet, and cannot find any trace of it.

    Any ideas?

Your not in the US. It could be an XJR 1200 maybe. Bolt right up, probably not. I think they were chain drive.
      Good luck,
      Dan

After reading your post on the fairings, I think the guy is confusing your bike/engine with a VMAX.

XJ, XS, XV, aw hell I knew there was an X in there.

                Hey Athedra,

Well, hopefully the guy knows what he's talking about and what he has. Have him read you the VIN # from the Clutch cover for sure. Wiseco makes 2 varieties of the big bore for the XS11, the smaller 1179cc version and the larger 1196=1200 version....so hopefully that is what he's calling an XS1200?
