Thanks, my only disappointment is that they squeal in the rain.

I built these mufflers from 2 18" s/s automotive exhaust tips and a couple of 1 7/8" OD spiral strait through baffles I removed from another bike.

They're pretty quiet when I'm just cruising but they crackle like a ford flathead V8 with straight pipes when I give it some juice. Also moved the sound behind me enough that it's acceptable.

Swedged the ends of the baffles so they fit snug in the 2 1/4" ID tips and wraped them in s/s wool to take out the biting cackle.

I think it sounds good, but that is just from where I sit. Never had anyone else ride it so I can hear it.

Really??? That's wild... but I know the fix for that...
        Don't ride in the rain...

I still like the way they look, though. See any improvement in dry braking performance, with the added venting?

          Greg,
For homemade mufflers, they look good!

I'll have to ride w/ ya pretty soon and see how loud they get...

man... you got that old Special looking pretty clean!

            Thanks man!

Those Mac mufflers sounded like sh*t. I had to do something.

I hope you get through your trials and tribulation soon so you can keep your bike closer to you so we can get some riding in.

It was a nice day today. Saw a good part of Tulsa.

Wait, I mean I saw a LOT of Tulsa----and some of it was good.

Yes, some improvement. Don't do much rain riding unless I get caught in in. The solid rotors didn't squeak in the rain, they also didn't stop. Overall beter with them drilled.

looks amazing!!! looks like you are doing a great job! this is what i am doing to mine. i am struggling early on, but i hope to end up with a great bike! mine will have a little different paint, with hopefully some pin striping, bobber style seat, just a little pad on the fender for a ride (cause the wife says she isn't ever going to, but just in case she changes her mind and wants to go for a ride, she will have a seat), and wrap the pipes.
