  • Recommendation for Muffler Paint

I have seen prior posts about painting engines. What I want is a stock looking muffler color. Could somebody please pitch in what worked and what didnt work? Should I just pick up a 500 degree Dupli Color in chrome?

Duplicolor makes a 1200 degree paint.

The mufflers shouldn't ever get near 500 degrees. I don't see the need for the overkill?

Any paint you get is going to look like.. well.. paint. Your best bet if you want stock look is to talk to Jet Hot and see how much it is to do a set. Last I heard it was @ 200 for headers, but never heard about mufflers.

Try your hardest to be the kind of person your dog thinks you are.

          Hi Mr Bill,
and it comes in orange. I like orange.

Perhaps I can fizz my mufflers with orange Rustoleum at a great saving over buying aftermarket chrome replacements.
