  • Side Cover

Ok, I have the normal left side cover with the tab broken off. I remember someone talking about possibly making a fix part/kit, but I also now need the rubber tabs for the top, since I lost one of them when changing the engine (another CO issue ). Now I don't really want to replace the side cover (although I'm not totally against it if I can get replacements for both sides at a reasonable price with the decals. But I'm really worried that the mini bungee cord that's holding it on will let it pop off while riding, which would leave me a little upset.

Any suggestions? I'm not sure of the shape of the end of the tab to try and create something to let it lock in place again.

I actually have a drawing to make a new tab. I never got around to actually finishing the prototype, since my broken side cover actually fell off before I could repair it. Here's the thread where I posted the drawing.
