  • Intermittent ignition

During the week, I forgot to refit my right hand screw into the grommet on my side cover. Cover blew off on the highway and with a few bumps and scratches managed to retrieve it.

Re-fitted it today, and am now having intermittent power on my ignition. While driving, my ignition just switches off, and tapping the right hand cover a few times brings her back to life. Checked the fuse fittings and also the wiring, and cant see anything wrong.

Any ideas as to why it would be doing this?

    Never mind, found the problem.

The auxiliary power wires was off at the back, shorting out while driving. Snipped them off, re-soldered them, and is now all ok.

take a look at the auxiliary power wires at the back, sounds like they are shorting out while you are driving. you might want to trim them off, re-soldered them

You guys are really good, but what i did was look at teh auxiliary wires, cut snipped them off and re-soldered them. They made a short.
