    Anyone tried these?

I came across this product on the internet and wonder if they actually work for tire balance. innovativebalancing.com Has anyone tried these?

        Yes...

A thread search should show where they've been recently discussed.

Kinda like a tire or an oil thread... opinions vary.

I've heard that snake oil works for balancing wheels too.

I replaced the front tire on my Maxim a couple of months ago and picked up a rythmic vibration. Installed the magic bean reptile oil beads and there was no perceptable difference. Removed the little critters with a shop vac and took the reinstalled tire and rim to a local shop, they balanced the assembly in about four minutes for $5 and the problem went away.

They said it only took a 1/4oz weight to cure the problem so it wasn't all that bad but the beads would not handle it or even make a change that my highly trained engineering type body (which may need a tuneup) could detect.

If there are more than three bolts holding it on there, it is most likely a very important part!

I have used the beads in my truck tires ( 44" SuperSwampers ) that are biased ply. that much rubber is hard to balance. works well at speeds over 25 mph...between 15 and 25 it bounces you like a superball in a coffee can falling down a mountain... but then it smoothes out like a bikini models a$$ above 25. about 3 pounds in each tire.
