      Garth,
You can buy the connector you need at an electronic store, or maybe Radio Shack, if they didn't throw out all the good parts.... The connector is an AMP brand nine or twelve pin connector, and I think it's a male on the motorcycle side. Use some LARGE heat shrink tubing to cover the wires you add to it(about 2' of wire) and it will look almost stock! I sent out the pics of the mount I have, and I may be able to take more next week. I'll be going out of town this weekend( to the Boston area), so I don't have much time now.
This is the two mounts, and how they will go on the bike. The curved one bolts to the steering stem with two bolts.

I purchased the same faring that I'm planing to install on a 79F.
I could use a mounting bracket.
Does anyone know where I could get one?
        Who made it for Yamaha?

        TIA
        Rick

Does anyone know who made them for Yamaha?

            What models did they come?

            Were they an option?

You would think they would be in the manual since it is a stock item.

              pacifico

they were made by pacifico and are prety rare , I just installed mine on friday and it is kind of a pain in the %#$% , BTW Rick we looked at the bracket that have that is exta and it is al little bent , I may return it , but Send soccer4m a pm and I know he has an extra one as well, rode over 100 miles yesterday with it and I have to say it is really nice and smooth on the super slab with that sucker on , only one mishap with my pigtail wiggling out on the road but a ziptie fixed that and off I went!
