i have the bracket
Well I will once I can make the 40 min drive to go pick it up, mostly just looking for good place to get the electrical parts , and I looked at windshields but the ones that list for a 78 are a little different than what's on it. It is a yamaha fairing (pacifico) but I have only seen a few like this and almost never a front view. Anyway , anybody else have one like this and what windshield did you buy if you had to replace one?91 kwaka kz1000p

The good news is that for a windshield, you can "simply" use your old one as a template to make a new one yourself. Buy a piece of lexan from your local glass or plastics specialty shop, trace out the profile and shape you want, cut it out with a jig saw running at ow sped with a good blade, polish the edges, and you're set. This shot of SWMBO's 'H shows a home-made windshield on a fairing that is very similar to yours.
There's a bit more of a description here.
This thread goes into a bit more detail about modifing the windshield you already have, including some video showing the cutting and polishing in progress. The basic principles are the same for cutting one down or making a new one.Ken Talbot

Windshield for Pacifico Fairing
I can't say for sure, because I haven't bought one, but I was told this company has the windshield. Kinda pricey though....

Money can't buy happiness, but it can get you an XS11 and that's a start.

If it isn't full of cracks you could just buff it out with some fine scratch remover. I used some compound and then this stuff on an acrylic fish tank with a buffer to remove the scratches and looked like new when I was done. It is time consuming but only costs a few bucks to do.

I'm sorry I didnt fully explain, if you look at the first post , and the first photo , you can see the crack that is over a foot long , I wasnt talking about the area of the windshield

I used a 8" electric buffer on the fish tank and I sure it saved my arm and a lot of time. If you lived closer and gave me sometime, and maybe feed me, I would do it for you. I like making things look new again!91 kwaka kz1000p
