Do the '81 1100's have resistors on them? The two '80 models i see have them, but not the 81...that i can find anyway....on the 80's they are bolted to the frame under the tank and behind the left side horn. i see no such beast on the 81......

IIRC the 81 doesn't have the resisters. The coils on the 81's are different and have a higher resistance on the primary side than 80 and earlier coils.Cy

Right, the '81 has 3 ohm coils and so doesn't need the resistor.Comment
