Ign Box

I'm in need of help. I have a short is my Ign Box. I have tried several salvage yards, partsnmore and Yamaha...any other suggestions on finding a box.

Thanks, as soon as I read your thread I went to e-bay and looking at the items. There is a 78 unit listed...will it work?

Willie's Cycle in Camphill, Al. has them, ordered one yesterday. Cost was $90.00 plus shipping. His number is 1-800-334-4045.
You will need the numbers off the original "2H7-10" or something similar. He will ship same day, and also has other parts for these great bikes. I too had a short, bike would quit like switched off, could wiggle plug and start back up. Am going to try to repair old one when new arrives. HTH

Hey Guys...took a short vacation over the 4th...
I have a 1981 (1100) Midnight Special. I tried to hit e-bay but missed a box while I was gone. I'm guessing that the 78' to 81' will work but I don't know that for sure. I'm dead in the water until I get one.

In buying a used one, i was informed that the numbers must be the same on the boxes, no matter the year for them to work properly. HTH

I called Willie's after I read the post. They told me the numbers do have to match and had one in stock. I hope to have it today or tomorrow. Just in time for the weekend. Thanks for the help guys.
