  • Work in progress; not for the purest

Work in progress. Was a 100 dollar wonder when I go it. And with lots of time, and help from friends and members here this is what we are up to now. A long way to go but eting there.

    Gary, looks great!!

Not sure I would want the hard tail, my tail might not like it much. But like the look with what you have done with it.

      Hi Gary,
that's not purest but purist, right?
      Well, I ain't one, but I am a pragmatist.
The truncated rear fender will leave mud streaks up your back while the spray
from the fenderless front wheel won't let you see where you are going.
So you love the look and you can avoid riding in the rain?
      Fair enough.
But your spine is with you 24/7 and it will hate those flatbars you got at the back.
Put the rear shocks back on, eh?

Yes "purist" never claimed I could type or spell. your practical opinion would have been great without the bashing my typing and spelling

front fender is a work in progress as well. Rear fender is staying. It s a hundred dollar round town bar hopper, Not a gold wing styled BMW or tour model. I can deal with a little water now and then, but riding this one in bad weather all the time is out of the question. That point you are correct on.

yeah I like the look I am going for. Struts may or may not be on for good. WOuld like to switch to 10-101/2 inch rebel shocks etc for a little relief.

          Hi Gary,
OK then, if a front fender is going on and a set of Rebel shocks too, she'll be perfect.
But gee, Gary, you gotta be able to take a joke, eh?

            haha

In all reality am prety aid back. I DID take it as a joke, but I can't help but to jab back a little here and there. I am sure that when you look in the mirror you praise yourself daily. If you can't be your own biggest fan- no one else will be.

              Hi Gary,
              well, yeah, doesn't everybody?
But I keep thinking, who is the derelict old bastard in the mirror lip-synching my hymn of praise?
