  • Model Question?

    Hi new to the forum and the xs1100 love the bike. I was just curios on the model it is a 1981 xs 1100sh is that a special or standand model. Thanks for any input.

    That would be a special. It has a rounded kinda tear drop shaped tank, right?
    If you don't own a fire extinguisher, do me a personal favor and go purchase one... immediately.

        Just for reference, any model number that has the "S" as the second-to-last digit (i.e, XS1100SF, SG, SH) is a Special. The ones with L in that spot (i.e., LG, LH) are Midnight Specials. The one with an R in that spot is the Aussie model.

            if it ends in just one letter (E, F, G) then it is a standard
