Changing the seat on the XS

I will have to admit defeat. My butt does not like cafe seats. Just not wide enough for me. Fourty minutes of riding IS the limit. Other people's butts may vary, but it is my fault i overlooked one fo the most important things to consider when changing seats... comfort

Ok now i will just get me a nice cruiser type solo seat and fender

Its all down to quality... of the padding/cover material.
I got me a used corbin for my guzzi and now I know why people pay insane amounts for new ones...
If it doesn't have an engine, it's not a sport, it's only a game.

Could you take a pic of your cafe seat? I may be interested in giving it a good home and helping offset the cost of your new seat.

Yes i'm in the one between Hayward and Fremont

          Before

          Before seat foam

          After seat foam & stitching
It's got some holes in it that i drilled out for mounting it. I'll take a picture of the holes when i get home.

The seat will have to be redone.

The seat is just way too narrow for me

That is a narrow cafe seat. My cafe seat is actually wider at the seat than at the hump.
I know it sounds weird but cafe seats are more comfortable when you are laying over them in a "race" position. Sitting in a normal cruiser position they become uncomfortable is a short time. I've noticed this on all my cafe bikes.

If DaveyG passes on it let me know I need a seat for my next CB500T project.
