  • What is this cam chain adjuster?

    I was cutting through the decades of crap on the front of my engine and I found this. This doesn't look stock to me. Anyone know what this came off of?

    That is the cam chain tensioner. The PO has replaced the standard internal shaft with a bolt. When your done cleaning things up to the point that you can start working on the bike, take the cam chain tensioner off and inspect what the PO has done. Make sure to do the re & re of the cam chain tensioner by the book!!!

      That looks like it might be a manual adjuster like the article in one of the threads on here.
