    Might do valve stem seals while you are in there. It is typical to do so.

      Thank you for the suggestion Ivan, I will do that. Do I actually need a valve spring compression tool or is it possible to do the job without it?

        You can make your own with a 6" C-clamp and a piece of 3/4" PVC pipe. Just cut out the "X" to access the keepers.

          Thank you for the information Phil,
          The ingenuity that you guys have surprises me everyday. I found This http://www.xs11.com/forum/showthread...+tensioner+mod today, and I think it is a great idea. Considering this is what caused my problems to begin with, I was grateful someone came up with it because I know I couldn't have. Thanks again for the great ideas guys, you guys are saving me lots of money.
