    Mounting hard bags

Anyone have pictures that would show, or can tell me where hard bags normally mount on an 80 xs1100 MNS? Have the hard bags, just need to know where i need to modify to fit them right.

My '79 Special bags mounted to the upper shock tower, the rear blinker mounts and the passenger foot pegs. They also had a crossover from left to right behind the wheel.

What brand of bags? Do you have the stock bracket for them? If they are Vetter bags, there is a different bracket for Standards vs Specials. Here is what the Special bracket looks like on my MNS.

      1980 XS850SG - Sold
      1981 XS1100LH Midnight Special (Sold) - purchased 9/29/08
Fully Vetterized and Dynojet Kit added, Heated Grips, Truck-Lite LED headlight, Accel Coils, Irridium plugs, TKAT Fork Brace, XS850LH Final Drive & Black SS Brake lines from Chacal.
Here's my web page devoted to my bike! XS/XJ User's Manuals there, and the XJ1100 Service Manual and both XS1100 Service manuals (free download!).

I found the brand, unfortunately they are no longer in business. They are calforia bags. Looks like the mods i need to make will be slight. One cutout to clear the seat nut, and a ne hole for the rear mounting. I have to make up one more bar for the downside support.
