    hey terry,
    didnt mean to offend you at all and i was answering more than just your comment . the entire paragraph and more was'nt just to you.. and i do thank you for the offer on the bike dims.. I also do notice you have a porsche i just sold mine.. i miss it and now i see porsches everywhere.. the roads around here just suck and thus the reason i sold mine.. i just moved to bend and didnt want to trash the car .

    Thank you for all that have given me some information and yes and iges, step, files are appreciated and i will import those into the complete model.

      Hydrolic clutch mounting setup..

      the CNC made front fork brace is done by Tkat.. so we won't step on his toes there.

      how about adjustable foot pegs, like what's on my 1982 XJ750 maxim MNS.

      top plate for the triple clamp that allows for a better style of handlebar mounting (bolt risers directly on the top plate) like my S1.

      anything you can do about side covers????
      I got no idea...
      that may be more of a sheet metal type fab job.

      I am making the tripple tree with 3 types of uppers, ill be making the receiver for both 1 inch and my custom bars.. My bars will not be a bent basic bar it will be made from solid 6061 and 7075 aluminum, , new gauge panel, Rear sets, ill post a picture of my rear sets that i already designed. probably not your style but its what im making for my bike. I am planning on making a mold to make the XS covers from carbon fiber. mine will be a modified version of the covers. wheww. etc..

        Dont freak out .. i know its not the right motor etc.. im just playing a little bit
        im just putting down some basics.. i was working on another bike and had to put something down .. but the front wheel is my spoked wheel with out the spokes. its a 16 inch but ill put back on the stock xs wheel that came on the bike. the tree will change . the seat is the actual seat i have currently but i will also draw the queen and king seat down the road. i may 3d scan some of the parts in. again this will look much much different as the weeks and months go by.. its only been two days so these things take time. ..

          No offense taken.Sorry you had to sell your Porsche.I don't drive mine much in winter to much cinder on the roads.PM we sometime we'll go for a ride.

            low level model ,, just placement with very little detail.
            just measure basic dimension build a block and slap it in..
            it will keep growing and then comes all the detail.. there will be a point where you wont be able to tell im making any changes because there so fine that you probably one be able to tell. things like bolts, or bolt heads, or maybe the texture. or it may even be internal. ..
            If someone does have a part completely detailed out ill replace the "block " with there detailed solid. When i complete this i will then start making modified parts.
            such as new trees, handlebar kits bag kits, etc.
            I really want to start making hand controls for both 7/8 and 1 inch bars.

                    Yes i plan on a gamma of parts...
                    Im starting to realize there are much differences in the years.
                    78E is much different than a 80 . The tripple tree is different. Side covers are different etc.
                    I plan on doing a set of controls using the 78E because thats what i have.
                    I will be doing both 7/8 and 1 inch.
                    I wont be able to approach those until late october. and will take some time to get into the system. Im doing Ducati parts at the moment. But i Do realize there is not much available for the XS11 and want to focus on that bike for a bit.

                      Wanna' animate it?

                      I work in 3D modeling, but I'm more in the animation field with it. I mostly use Cinema4D and Vue7. I know it's sort of superfluous, but I'd love to animate the model when you guys finish drawing it up. I can use a lot of different formats from most Autodesk and Solid Works apps. I always wanted to do an XS animation, but never had a good model or the time to build one.

                          Yes that would be super cool Solidworks does have an animation app . I can forward the entire tree to you when complete..
                          I am currently working on the frame and the bottom end of the block.
                          Just the basics so far.. nothing detailed .. just blocks of information to fill space at the moment. I plan to post my progress on wed or thursday.

                          The pace is going a little faster than i thought it would but the difficult stuff is still to come.

                          I wish i had a motor torn apart then i would throw it up on the CMM and get some really good accurate information. Eventually but not right now..

                            Hey Roccet,
                            I can actually take your model file from SW and import it into C4D. It accepts SW file format. I can do all the texturing in there. If you want , I can animate the different parts (e.g. motor, drive, wheel movement etc.) when you get the detail in there to simulate the part's workflow. I was also thinking of making a cool XS11.com intro, with your model. What do you think?

                              Not up to me but that sounds cool. Probably should be up for a vote from everyone. Ya im sure you can get better textures than SW has..
                              would you rather i just leave everything flat colors for your purpose?

                                Yeah, leave it flat. I'll texture it in C4D. As far as the XS11.com intro, I was thinking about running it by TopCat and then having a vote on the intro.
