  • Street sleeper's frnt lft rotor is backwards

i was just reading Bobs book and was looking at the row of standards and noticed the left rotor was backwards

you can see it in a couple of the pics of ss by itself on the previuos pages...

this won't cause a problem will it???

        Hi han,
no it ain't, on the left side you gotta fit a right side rotor like that or it won't fit in the caliper.
My son swapped his two swirl-pattern drilled XS650 rear disks onto the front of his XS750,
(the LEGOlike swappability of XS parts has some weird twists to it, eh?)
I said; You put them disks on the wrong sides.
He said; So who gives a sh1t? It's too much hassle to change them.
And of course, he was right, the pads won't notice or care which way the slots (or the hole pattern) points.

if you look at the book the others aren't like that... also i swapped 82 rotors onto my xs and they are the right direction. i thought those hole went a certain direction to reduce fade and warpage...????

            Hi han,
perhaps those other bikes had both RH & LH disks to hand and that one didn't?
Or that nobody noticed, a "Jove nodded" kinda thing.
And of course the '82 rotors would look OK. They'd also look backwards if you swapped them around.
It's strictly a styling exercise, those faggy trendoid stylists reckon they look "faster" that way.
