  • someone wanted 3pt. crash bars???

I swear I remembered reading a thread about someone wanting a set of the 3 point crash bars within the last week, but I'll be damned if I can find it now. I recall it saying something about seeing some on eBay for $60-$70 and there happens to be a set there now for fairly cheap.

Only difference is they are for the XJ, but I'm pretty sure it's one of those easily swappable xsive parts. Only drawback is the 4 day auction close date . I hope this post gets int he hands of the right person. Have a good one all.

That was me, and i just bought some today for $61, but they look to be nice and shiny chrome. That set doesn't loook rashed, but looks like they've seen a few miles.

That style didn't come on the XJ. Those were from the 78 XS. BUT.. the XS and XJ all have the same engine mounting points that the crash bars hook up to.. so any from any year should swap around.

For all those that went with the 3-point crash bars, I see that the original bolt isn't going to be long enough. What size all-thread did you end up using? I was wanting to pick some up tomorrow without having to carry in that bolt. It has to be able to pass through the dampeners, yet not be sloppy.

Assuming you all went with standard? I don't know anyone around here that sells metric.

                      Thanks.

3/8" works just peachy Tod. However 8mm is available if you prefer to stay " metric ". In stainless too!

                          Thanks Greg.

Yeah, I'd prefer.. MUCH prefer stainless.. I just don't remember my local places having much of a selection. An old box with a few abstract pieces of all-thread thrown in all out of order.
