u did say this was the XJ brand, i had a problem with the gasket in the occtopuss valve, the thingy with like a crap load of hoses going to it. gasket went south and fuel went all over. gas is not supposed to go through it till motor starts. vacum operated i guess. that seemed to work after i reuilt that thing ,just a thought.
