  • rear turn signals

does anyone know the original placement of the rear turn signals? mine has them at the back of the seat, just below, but I've seen photos of them on the rear fender. my rear fender / plate holder doesn't have any obvious point to put the signals. any thoughts? ah, I have a '79 XS 1100 standard.

Yours are where they are suppose to go. If you have hard bags on the bike, it is nessissary to move the turn indicators to the rear licence plate area, or somewhere totally different. This makes room for the bags. My hard bags have a mount that uses (and covers) the stock turn indicator location.

Yamaha made a bracket to move the signals to the tailight assy. All the wires are there to hook it up.

They come on Ebay all the time.

It just bolts behind your licence plate.
Nice day, if it doesn't rain...
