  • Broken Clutch Lever

Hey all, my 1980 XS std went down this morning :/ luckily the only thing to go was the clutch lever and attatched mirror.
Just wondering if a generic lever will do the trick or if I should stick with original/Yamaha specific. Any thoughts or parts for sale? Thanks

You can buy over the counter "Yamaha" style levers that work very well. That's on my daily ride, and the pivot hole was egg shaped. I think it was about $8.50 from the local MC parts place.

I did the same thing earlier this year, but it was my brake lever that took the hit. I got one from Andreas that even included the rubber boot - $10 including shipping.
I think I have a loose screw behind the handlebars.
