  • My Brake calipers need a mask

Cuz they are really ugly. Really ugly. Ugly like an all-time record summer of triple digit days and no rain for two years ugly. Believe me, that is ugly.

But I am fixin' to do something about that. I fired up the powdercoater and I'm going to make them pretty again.

As can be the case with 30-something parts, though, it can be difficult to tell where the old paint leaves off and the old grime begins. Aircraft stripper does a remarkable job or taking both off, but sadly it does not leave a trail.

Other than the obvious - plugging the screw holes and masking off the piston recess, where do I want to mask these parts so they work again when I'm done?

    Anyone?
