how come the caps on2&3 are longer than 1&4 ?

Just for fun, unplug the Nos 1 and 2 and see what it is like to switch them on the repective plugs. 2 and 3 are deep. I like to have the angles for 3 and 4 more than 90 degrees to get the wires off of the hot surfaces (or at least help prevent some rubbing wear).
