    Another carb leak problem

It is leaking out of carb #3, and a little out of #4. I did the bench test and the one that was failing was carb #1! It isn't the one that is leaking, however. It is #3 & #4!

I took them apart and bench tested them again, checked the float clearence, and double checked the needle. The ONLY thing I noticed was that the needles have a line around the tip. All of them have this and I don't think they have ever been rebuilt. I do NOT have any money left for this project, and my wife is about to give me divorce papers for spending more time on this than with her...So I can't buy new needles, so is there any other way to fix these, or is there anything else I should check?

Here are some pictures of the bike...I know their not really needed for the carb fix, but I am excited that I got it ALMOST road worthy!

Sounds like the float needles need replacing, and usually the seats will need replacing too. Once they are worn that's it.

Just because they have a line on them doesn't mean they need replacing. My needles have had a line on them for over 4 years and they don't leak. Hold the seat with your fingers and spin back and forth while holding the little tip of the needle with a pliers with the other hand pushing them together. Kind of like lapping them together. Might take a try or two.
