    Cleaned Carbs

About a month ago I pulled out of the garage the bikes that still had batteries that were good. Fired em up, run around the block and put back in the garage. One 79 special decided to run only on three cylinders so I checked it out. Found some rust in the carbs
Took a look in the tank and there be the origination of the rust...
"KUSO!!!" (one of my 4 letter words when working on a jap bike)

So ordered some tank treatment and set to clean the carbs.
When I finished and was looking at my handy work noticed just how grubby they looked. Being the XSive I am this is the result.

I like IT! That's black paint on those bodies, correct? I'm not going to go that far I don't think, or I'll be cleaning carbs for the remainder of the season, lol. I'm going to accept most of the crud that I paid good money for I've already got a good 5 hours in polishing 2 caps! I'm trying to let some of my perfectionist mindset go or this project will last years... maybe decades haha

        Carb Appeal

        Gawd!

I couldn't pull my eyes off that pic of those carbs! Went totally non-verbal and still have problems trying to read what you wrote, MRO. Pic draws my attention and the words are just "Blah..Blah..Blah"

I mean there they are. Four beauties dressed in scandalous black with an accent of polished aluminum and leaning back on what might be a pillow. The intake sides look like all the moving parts are clean and that just screams "Good-to-Go!" yet still so lady-like. (Drool!!)

Those carbs are loved. The kind of love that they can only get from someone who has made that long term commitment. Obviously these carbs are "taken/married" and to the right owner.

Thanks for showing us the difference between dating an XS and walking with her down the aisle.

          HAHAHAHAHA!

I couldn't have said it better Larrym (lol, scandolous black)

...We are left to dream that we may one day have a set of beauties (I have enough troubles keeping 1 happy) that we can lay on our own pillows at night. I hope you 5 are happy together MRO.
